On Friday evening we had dinner with John and Gloria and then went to see "The Importance of Ernest". It was the Senior Play at the Boerne High School. Their Granddaughter, Haley, is not a senior but was the Stage Manager. It was a cute play and the actors/actresses did a good job!
On Saturday afternoon we went to Dan and Cheryl's for dinner. Cheryl is John and Gloria's daughter. They cooked the best barbecued ribs! The rub was good and I really liked their barbecue sauce. Cheryl said she baked them then put them on the barbecue and added some apple juice to them. They were yummy! After dinner us girls took off to go shopping! I found a couple of cute "flip flop" items for one of my GNO girl's birthday!
On Sunday we were excited to try to the Magnolia Pancake Haus. It has been around since 2000 and on the weekends there is still a long wait. John and Gloria skipped church thinking that would help, yet at 10:00 a.m. there was an hour, 20 minute wait! We decided that we would need to try it during the week and just went to the Denny's down the street!
After breakfast we went to see the movie Battleship. We all four really liked the movie. I was on the edge of my seat and totally entertained. Ted found some technical things bothersome but still really enjoyed the movie!
Yesterday I took some pictures in John and Gloria's back yard. They have been trying to get a patio built since January and just finally found some one that will do it in next week. They have a large back yard and will probably put in a spa one of these days. I was showing John my camera and he took Gloria's picture (in the collage) which she wasn't too happy about!
Blogging and getting some laundry done this morning..."Ain't Life Grand!"
